Well say hello to 6000 of my best Stampin' Up! friends! You might say... well are those really all of your friends? And I would say YES! Definitely.... I just haven't met them all yet!! One thing I love about crafters of all kinds ~~ we are friendly and love to share our ideas and help each other!
This is TONS of fun!! We all have different colored armbands on and when there is a prize patrol they either choose a COLOR or EVERYONE gets a prize! The screens light up and the music starts and we're all on our feet clapping and just enjoying the moment ---- hoping our color will be called!! But even if it's not, we're happy for those that win!
These ladies were sitting behind me... you'll notice the backpacks... pretty awesome huh? YES we ALL got one AND they had 3 sets of stamps inside!! Catalogs and a lanyard, pin and silver ink pen.
One of the nice things that happened... they did the first prize patrol and it was MY COLOR!!! YAY!! but it was something that I already have... The next prize patrol the Canadian lady (notice the maple leaf lanyard) behind me won... but I heard her say "I wish I had one the first prize... I already have this!" And I wanted the prize she got... so I turned and said "hey would you like to trade? I already have this set and would like the one they just gave you...." She was very happy to trade with me!! How nice was that?
Here are some examples of projects they did for us, and also some card samples...
They have rows of boards up that have sample cards on also, so all of us could go through and take photos which helps inspire us all!
There are some really talented people that got their cards on the boards. I got tons of pictures but these are some of my favorite. I'll be posting more! I wish I could give credit to the persons that made these cards, but I couldn't see on the back.
Here are some photos of a lot of us demos participating in the service project. I felt really good about doing this, it was really one of the highlights of my adventure. I could have stood here all day doing this but we did have to let others that wanted to, participate too.
These sets were made for the children in a local hospital. Thousands of children are in the hospital on their Birthday each year. We just wanted to show them we care and hope it brightens their day!
Ok that's all I've got for today... tune back in soon!!!
I'm getting the hang of this blogging thing and I've learned how to schedule my blogs !! Yippee!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read about my adventure! Have a Blessed Day! Don't forget to leave me a little "hello"!!
Looks like you had a blast :)
ReplyDeleteLove all the cards...so pretty! Thanks for sharing!
Love Convention! It is so much fun -lots of crafting and not just anyone can go. Only if you are a stampin' Up! demonstrator do you get to feel the thrill! Love it!
